Level 3 Award in Mentoring Practice

Mentoring in Practice is a recognised qualification endorsed by Open College West Midlands.

Delivered over 3 taught days (Across 8 weeks) learners will receive 24 guided learning hours and are required to undertake additional independent learning tasks which we expect will require 6 hours of further study.

The course is designed to equip individuals to understand the role of a Mentor, deliver safe mentoring practice and have the ability to deliver practical mentoring sessions, tailored to the needs of individual mentees.

The course covers the below areas:

  • History and Meaning of Mentoring
  • Boundaries and Confidentiality in a Mentoring relationship
  • Communication and Learning Styles in a Therapeutic Environment
  • Safeguarding in a Mentoring Practice
  • Delivery of practical Mentoring sessions, tailored to the needs of individual mentees.
  • Measuring the impact of Mentoring.

On successful completion of this course learners will be qualified to deliver Mentoring Support on a one to one basis.

Our course is delivered by trained facilitators that have a wealth of experience in the delivery of Mentoring and are able to share real life experiences from their delivery on our award winning Mentoring Scheme.
