Hours: Flexible volunteering hours, to be agreed
Locations: Dudley or North Birmingham
Type: Voluntary position

Our Place Support is looking for new Volunteer Advisors to join our Advice Service, supporting individuals and families across Dudley and North Birmingham.

Our Advice Service provides free advice and practical support to people experiencing challenges relating to welfare benefits, housing, cost of living and other welfare matters.

As a Volunteer Advisor, you will work alongside our experienced Advice team to provide one-to-one support to people who may be struggling to access the information and services they need. You will also help maintain accurate records of client progress and take part in relevant training, team meetings and supervision.

We are looking for reliable, approachable individuals with good listening skills, empathy and basic IT skills who are willing to learn and support others in a confidential and non-judgemental way. Basic and compliance training will be provided and is an essential part of this role.

How to Apply

If you are interested in volunteering with us, please complete our volunteer application form and return it to recruitment@ourplacesupport.org, indicating your preferred location.

We recognise that people communicate and present their experience in different ways, and we welcome applications in formats that work best for you.

If you would prefer to submit a video-recorded application, you can send this to us via WeTransfer at recruitment@ourplacesupport.org.
