Our Safeguarding Awareness Training course is designed to provide essential knowledge for individuals working with children, young people, and adults. This course covers the fundamentals of safeguarding, including recognising the different forms of abuse, identifying physical and behavioural signs, and learning how to respond effectively to safeguarding concerns. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and professional guidance, you will explore: · What is Safeguarding? – Defining safeguarding and understanding its importance across different age groups · Forms of Abuse – Learning about the main types of abuse and the signs to look for in children, adolescents, and adults · Safeguarding Children vs. Adults – Understanding the key differences between safeguarding children and adults. · Contextual Safeguarding – Exploring how harm can occur outside the family environment and how to recognise risks in community or peer settings · Responding to Safeguarding Concerns and Handling Disclosures – Understanding how to remain calm, listen actively, and take the correct steps when faced with a disclosure or safeguarding concern · Personal Attitudes and Values – Examining how personal beliefs may impact safeguarding and how to ensure that the needs and rights of the individual are at the centre of practice By the end of this course, you will be equipped to confidently recognise safeguarding issues and respond appropriately, ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals.
